Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME universal extension is the single TLD meant for personal websites only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are famous by. Initially, only 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to buy john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already registered third-level names remained active.

Through our company, you can acquire your dot NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to edit the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our firm if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registrar company and we will renew it once the transfer has been finalized. There are no special conditions on who can secure a dot NAME domain, but in order to maintain the concept behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.
