DomainKeys Identified Mail
Find out more on DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) and how this feature will help your business.
DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) is an authentication system used to prove that an e-mail message has been sent by an authorized email server or person. An e-signature is added to the header of the message using a private cryptographic key. When the email message is received, a public key that is available in the global DNS database is used to check who exactly sent it and whether the content has been changed in any way. The primary job of DKIM is to avert the widely spread scam and spam emails, as it makes it impossible to fake an email address. If an email is sent from an email address claiming to belong to your bank, for instance, but the signature does not correspond, you will either not receive the message at all, or you’ll get it with a warning notice that most probably it’s not a genuine one. It depends on email providers what exactly will happen with an email message which fails the signature test. DomainKeys Identified Mail will also give you an additional safety layer when you communicate with your business partners, for example, since they can see that all the emails that you send are genuine and haven’t been meddled with on their way.

DomainKeys Identified Mail in Shared Website Hosting
You will be able to take full advantage of DomainKeys Identified Mail with each
Linux shared website hosting that we are offering without doing anything in particular, since the required records for using this email authentication system are set up automatically by our website hosting platform when you add a domain to an active web hosting account using the Hepsia Control Panel. If the given domain uses our NS records, a private cryptographic key will be generated and kept on our mail servers and a TXT resource record with a public key will be sent to the DNS system. In case you send periodic emails to customers or business partners, they’ll always be received and no unauthorized individual will be able to forge your email address and make it look like you have written a particular email message.

DomainKeys Identified Mail in Semi-dedicated Hosting
When you pick any of the
semi-dedicated hosting that we offer, you will be able to use the DomainKeys Identified Mail option with any domain name that you register through your brand-new account without any manual setup, as our outstanding cloud platform will create all the required records automatically, provided that the domain uses our name servers. The aforementioned is needed for a TXT record to be set up for the domain name, since this is how the public encryption key can become available in the global Domain Name System. The private key will also be added automatically to our email servers, so every time you send out a new email, it will have our platform’s digital signature. The number of junk emails keeps rising each year and very frequently false addresses are used, but if you use our hosting services, you and your clients or partners won’t have to worry about that.
